JP: Visitor Center
The Visitors Center was the hub of Jurassic Park.
^ The Visitor Center.
The center was located at the zoo-like amusement park set up by millionaire John Hammond (founder of InGen) on the island of Isla Nublar. It was themed around dinosaurs and was intended to be the main hive of activity for guests visiting the park. The exterior of the building was made of decorative concrete that followed an unusual concave curve. The lower front section, which had flowing water ducts and decorative foliage on either side, followed a convex curve and was split in half by the stairs which led up to the main entrance door.

Genetics Lab & Hatchery
The genetics lab was a single room dedicated to the genetic engineering process that produced Jurassic Park’s dinosaurs. It contained computers, refrigeration units, embryo storage units, incubators, and other assorted lab equipment used by the scientists. This cleanroom was quarantined by an airlock to minimize contamination from the outside. The room was visible from the theater room and is showcased for visitors. The embryos were stored in a special chamber separate from the rest of the lab.
The hatchery was a section of Jurassic Park overseen by the Jurassic Park Scientists, and was adjacent to the genetics laboratory. Here was where fertilized eggs, mostly Ostrich and Emu, were placed in incubation areas and kept at a warm temperature for hatching.

The VIPs were led in by John Hammond and met with Dr. Henry Wu just as a young Velociraptor hatched from one of the incubating eggs. A Mitsubishi Movemaster RV-M2 was programmed to automatically rotate the eggs and hold them steady while hatching commenced. Moss was placed around the eggs to hold both heat and moisture in order to assist in the incubation process.
Nedry was able to gain access to the lab and the embryo storage chamber within once the security systems to Jurassic Park were shut down.
Control Room
The interior of the room is large, consisting of several tables. Each table had roughly 3 computers on them, mostly Silicon Graphics and Macs. The control room also housed a number of SGI Unix machines as well as the eight fridge-sized Thinking Machine CM-5 computers, that were used to crunch the numbers for the geneticists. All machines formed a network that was set up by Integrated Computer Systems, Inc and allowed the Macs to interact with the Unix machines. The computers provided enough automation to run the entire park with minimal staff for up to three days. A central pediaion screen displayed important information for the staff, for example, when the visitors left the tour vehicles during the Safari Tour, it instantly showed a schematic view of the vehicle.
Nedry can be seen in the background playing chess.

Computers
Computers found in the control room include Apple Macintosh Quadra 700, SGI R4000 Indigo Elan, SGI Crimson and of course the iconic Thinking Machines CM-5s.

Flash Programs
Some kind soul has put together a series of executable flash programs, emulating the original computer's screens. These work best on 4:3 CRT Screens. Enjoy
